Usually the first step to installing a new flooring system is to remove the existing coating or overlay. Surface preparation is the most important part of laying a new floor system. Its an essential step in the process and if not done correctly, the floor will fail.
CSP (concrete surface profile) is a universal way of measuring the surface texture of the floor to which the flooring system is being applied. If a floor is too hard and smooth, most epoxies wont bond properly and it will require diamond grinding or shot
blasting beforehand.
